We meet every Tuesday evening to power down our nervous system and prepare ourselves for deep rest.
Join us as we take an hour together to power down our nervous systems to prepare for a good night's sleep. This guided meditation offering is designed to help you release tension in your body, and shift your nervous system into a parasympathetic state, or the "rest and digest" nervous system state we all need to properly restore our energy.
Andy Prescott combines his knowledge of various meditation styles designed for tension relief and nervous system regulation, such as progressive muscle relaxation, body scanning, and guided breath, to guide participants in letting go of the stresses of the day, and powering down their systems for deep rest.
Participants are invited to participate in whatever way feels most supportive for them, whether seated or snuggled up in bed, and participants are invited to follow whatever cues are most helpful, whether that be guided visualizations, guided breathing. Participants can also choose to not engage beyond letting the sound of Andy's words wash over them, like waves washing over the sand.
You may join with camera on or off, but we ask that you keep microphones muted once the meditation has begun. If you end up falling asleep by the end of the call, that's perfectly okay. In fact, it's encouraged.
